Surviving Cancer & Art Prize 10

Browsing through my blog posts, people must grasp who I am—I survive through my art.

Almost a year ago, in 2017, on September 8th, I received a diagnosis of Stage ONE Lung Cancer—ADENOCARCINOMA. This silent tumor manifested itself with only a slight cough as a symptom.

I am stepping into a new year and embarking on a fantastic adventure to Grand Rapids, MI, for ArtPrize 10. The blog will document the excitement of this celebration of life. My sculpture “The Fever” will be featured in the BOB Big Old Building, a selected venue determined by voting. With the number 66676, my Marine Life Sculpture of the Sting Rays will also be on display, showcasing the talent and beauty of numerous artists throughout the United States.
